Quit Falling - Step 1

…Hi!  I’m Ingrid and I created a company called “Quit Falling”.  Below, you will find more information regarding my company, classes we offer and pricing.

Where do I start with “Quit Falling”?  The most important class that everyone should take is called “Quit Falling – Step 1”.  This is a 1-hour group class that provides a condensed version of the fall-prevention techniques.  This is a life-altering class that people of all ages can benefit from.  Whether you are a facility that would like us to host classes or an individual person in their own home, everyone can benefit, and there is a class-type for everyone.

What will I learn in this first class – Quit Falling (1st step)?

  • How to identify when your body is changing
  • The warning signs and prerequisites to falls
  • How to know when it is time to begin use a walking device
  • Differences between the types of walking devices
  • When it’s time to change the device you are using
  • Advanced Techniques with walking devices (DO’s and Don’ts)
  • How to modify lifestyle to compensate for balance deficits
  • Real Life Scenarios: why people fall, with examples of how modifications would have decreased fall-risk
  • How to train your “future self”

* This seminar can be done in-person or digitally (online).  We recommend a Caregiver be present for this.

How much does the “Quit Falling – Step 1” Class cost?  Please call or fill out our contact-form to find out the current sales/promotions.  For individuals, classes may be covered under insurance and out of pocket costs are not higher than you would pay for a co-pay.  For facilities, we try to keep classes affordable and comparable to the cost of hiring an entertainer or exercise class in your facility.

Do I have to take a 2nd class?  The first class alone is enough to increase awareness of your body changes and identify how to make lifestyle modifications to decrease your risk of a fall.  We believe every senior should take this class as it provides a life manual and helps prepare for the aging process.  After the first class, clients will be given a questionnaire to provide feedback and to help determine the level of interest in future classes.

Great!  I’m interested and I would love to have you do this 1st class either as an individual or host at our facility!  What do I do next?  If you are an individual, please sign up for the next “Quit Falling – Step 1” class, which can be taken online or in-person.  You will then be sent the instructions on how to get you started.  If you represent a facility and would like us to host a class, please fill out the Caregiver Info Request form.

Or, book our online Quit Falling – Step 1 class on our Classes Calendar.

We will then send you a “Facility Form”, which highlights our specific agreements and expectations and provides directions to our HIPPA compliant video platform, Thera-link.

What’s the best way to set up an appointment to chat with Ingrid?  If you’d like to set up a time that works for both of us to chat on the phone or meet in-person, you can easily schedule a call with me here.

This page has the most important information to get the ball rolling on setting up your first class.  The next pages go into detail about other classes we offer as well as a price breakdown of all the in-person classes.
